Frontier(s)
A novelization of Xavier Gens’s 2007 film
On the back of the box
Some borders should never be crossed
Paris is burning, and as political unrest explodes across the city, a group of young thieves uses the chaos to stage a robbery before fleeing toward the border. Injured and desperate, all they need is somewhere to disappear for the night. They soon find an isolated inn.
They should have kept driving.
Hidden among the empty roads is a family whose hospitality conceals something monstrous.
Written and directed by Xavier Gens, Frontier(s) became one of the defining films of the New French Extremity. A savage combination of survival horror, social rage and uncompromising brutality.
