Virginia works in a used bookstore and loves to read old pulp horror novels. When she becomes obsessed with the work of author Malcolm Brand, she discovers his mysterious novel, I, Madman.
The book’s story concerns a horribly disfigured doctor willing to murder in the name of love, taking pieces from his victims to rebuild himself into the perfect man… Then the murders she reads begin happening for real.
As fiction bleeds into reality, Virginia becomes convinced that the killer from Brand’s novel has stepped beyond the page, and that every chapter she reads brings him closer to completing his gruesome mission.
