When Thomas Avon takes a detour to avoid a traffic jam, he collides with a group of stranded friends whose car has been mysteriously sabotaged. Stranded with no cell service and miles from any civilization, they set out in search of help, only to discover that something far worse than isolation waits among the trees.
Based on the screenplay by Alan B McElroy, this novelization plunges deeper into the twisted backwoods. It explores so much more of the characters, the terror, the desperation, and the unrelenting brutality of the original story.
